  2. Getting to the databases Go to the library’s home page at library.mst.edu Choose Databases & E-resources from the left column
  3. Finding companies in a geographic area Select the ReferenceUSAdatabase Select U.S. Businesses under “Available Databases” Click the Custom Search tab Click the Geography button and select your area Click the Business Type button. Search the SIC or NAICS codes and select anything that looks interesting. Click View Results
  4. Finding company reports Select the Business Source Premier database From the green column on the right of the screen, choose Company Profiles Enter the name of the company you’re searching for Note that reports will typically be available only for larger, publicly traded corporations By clicking on the Advanced Search tab and choosing Company/Entity from the drop-down menu, you can also use this database to quickly locate business-related articles about the company
  5. Finding articles about a company Select the ABI/Inform database Click the Advanced Search tab and choose Company/Org from the drop-down menu Search on the company’s name Note that the blue tabs at the top of the search results can be used to focus on particular types of articles
  6. Finding articles in LexisNexis Select the LexisNexis Academic database Click Company Profiles Search under Get Company Info Check the desired article types in the Sourcesbox For a comprehensive search, choose U.S. Company Reports Set the drop-down menu to Company Name Enter the company name and perform your search
