  1. Job-Alike Indicate group name here

  2. Session Goals: • Provide an opportunity for those with like jobs to network across the region • Create a solution-oriented forum for problem solving • Gain multiple perspectives on key regional issues

  3. Code of Cooperation • Conversations are solution-oriented • Input from all group members enriches the whole group conversation • Respect the contributions of others: • One group member speaks at a time • Your voice should only be heard by your group

  4. Issues for Discussion • One issue in each corner with guiding questions is intended to start a conversation • Another “un-named” topic in the center of the room for those who want to discuss a different topic • Take a moment to decide which issue you’d like to discuss first. You will have an opportunity to discuss more than one topic.

  5. Discussion Groups • After you move, break into groups of 4-6 people who are interested in the same topic. • Each group needs a recorder and facilitator • At the end of the conversation the recorder will capture 3 big ideas or questions that the group discussed on a Google form. • The facilitator will keep the conversation moving.

  6. Signals • Groups will be able to change topics every 15 minutes. • This sound will be your signal that it’s time to switch groups. • You have the option to stay in the same group.

  7. Ready to Go • Move to the corner of most interest to you • Create groups of 4-6 • Designate a recorder and facilitator. • You’ll get a signal to move again in 15 minutes.

  8. Code of Cooperation • Conversations are solution-oriented • Input from all group members enriches the whole group conversation • Respect the contributions of others by: • One group member speaks at a time • Your voice should only be heard by your group

  9. Recorders • Use the laptop in your group’s area. • Link here • Write three big ideas or questions that were at the heart of your group’s conversation. • Submit. • The summary of conversations will be available at the end of the day.

  10. Ticket Out the Door • Name one thing that you gained from this session that you would have missed by not attending? • What would have made the session more meaningful for you? • Who will you most likely connect with from this session after the Institute?

  11. Thank you! • You can find your group’s key ideas on the SI 14 Wiki • You’ll be able to see the perspectives of others who discussed the same issues. • Please return desks and chairs to their original place.
