  1. ART CLASS FOR STUDENTS

  2. Every child is an artist. PABLO PICASSO

  3. WHAT IS ART? Art is very important to young children. It gives them a way to let out their feelings and ideas. Children can learn a lot through art. As children draw, paint, and make collages, they are learning about their world (colors, shapes, and sizes of objects). ... Art lets children make choices.

  4. It’s been proven that early exposure to visual art, music, or drama promotes activity in the brain WHY ART? Art helps children understand other subjects much more clearly—from math and science, to language arts and geography. Participating in art activities helps children to gain the tools necessary for understanding human experience, adapting to and respecting others’ ways of working and thinking, developing creative problem-solving skills, and communicating thoughts and ideas in a variety of ways. Art nurtures inventiveness as it engages children in a process that aids in the development of self-esteem, self-discipline, cooperation, and self-motivation.

  5. Drawing Drawing is a means of making an image, using any of a wide variety of tools and techniques. It generally involves making marks on a surface by applying pressure from a tool, or moving a tool across a surface. Painting Types of Art Painting is a mode of creative expression, and can be done in numerous forms. Drawing, gesture (as in gestural painting), composition, narration (as in narrative art), or abstraction (as in abstract art), among other aesthetic modes, may serve to manifest the expressive and conceptual intention of the practitioner.
