Women have to face a lot of issues in their day to day lives. They have to go through gender discrimination, unequal rights in the society, lack of education and various other problems. To make awareness about these issues schools in Mussoorie conduct various campaigns to promote women empowerment. India is a country where Women are given the status of a goddess. However, the problems they have to face just show the opposite of this concept. On hand they worship them as goddesses and on the other, they abuse them endlessly and consider them inferior. India women always had some problem or the other to face in society. People evolved and so did the problems, they did not go away but changed from one to another. We need to realize these problems and act on them fast to help our country thrive.
People’s concern and respect for women these days are only limited to discussion and debates. Women and their real-time troubles are topics of fun for many. These senseless people inappropriately treat women, being unmindful of their essentiality in our daily life. There is no end as to the issues women are subject to in the country.
Sanitation facilities are one of those little unimportant problems that women face in our country. Ladies and girls never had access to proper washrooms that caused so many fatal deaths in our country. More than being insensitive towards women, our countrymen are addicted to superstitious beliefs. Earlier, the notion related to washrooms in India was that it is unhygienic to have a well-constructed bathroom in our house. So, many ladies were out to defecate in public.
Gender discrimination is another evil characteristic of Indian society. Our society never accepted that women are equal to men. Certain gentlemen use their wives and stress and frustration removal machine. Misbehave, and domestic abuse is every home story. Indian men are accustomed to their women being week, incapable and have kept underestimating them for the past many unknown numbers of years.
Admire the exterior beauty and appearance of a woman in the country. A woman with good shape and complexion is beautiful, whereas a woman with ordinary skin tons and healthy bodies are regarded as waste or useless. Indian society is only interested in the outward look of a woman and does not appreciate the inner glow of a woman.
Lack of educational importance has created an unhappy scene for women. A girl’s educational qualifications do not seem important, whereas the main criteria still remain the external shiny skin and curvy physique. Girls boarding school in India signifies the importance of women’s education in the country.
Crimes against women have become an everyday story on the net and in the newspaper. The increasing crimes against women at an alarming rate are our routine. We just read about the number of rapes and assaults, grief over for a minute, and get back to our busy life routine. This is so shameful that many do not even consider them real. “The girl only must have behaved unsuitably hence this happened to her”, how easily and carelessly some people speak. Totally undermining the pain and the struggle that no only the girl but the entire family undergoes.
