To check the diagnostic trouble codes, connect the hand-held tester to Data Link Connector 3(DLC3) on the vehicle or read the number of blinks of the check engine warning light when TC and CG terminals on the DLC3 are connected. Section B Electronic Controlled Diesel System(ECD)(TOYOTA) 电 子 控 制 柴 油 机 系 统 (ECD)(丰 田) 要检查诊断故障代码，请将手持测试仪接到车上的3号诊断插座（DLC3）；或者将DLC3上的TC和CG端子短接，读取检查发动机警告灯的闪烁次数。

  4. 1.Turn the ignition switch ON. 2.Using SST, connect between terminals 13(TC) and 4(CG) of the DLC3. 3.Read the DTC from the check engine warning light. As an example, the blinking patterns for codes. Check the DTC not using hand-held tester 不用手持测试仪检查DTC 1.点火开关拧到ON。 2.用SST（专用维修工具）短接DLC3的13（TC）和4（CG）端子。 3.从检查发动机警告灯读取DTC。

  5. Disconnecting the battery terminals or ECD fuse . This will erase the DTCs and freezed frame data. Clear the DTC 清除DTC 拔下蓄电池的桩头或ECD熔断丝。这样会擦除所有DTC和保持帧数据。

  6. Check the DTC (not using hand-held tester) 1.Turn the ignition switch ON, but not start the engine. 2.Using SST, connect terminals 13(TC) and 4(CG) of DLC3. 3.Read the DTC indicated by the number of times the MIL blinks. Section C Electronic Controlled Automatic Transaxle (ECT) (TOYOTA) 电子控制自动变速驱动桥（ECT）（丰田） 检查DTC（不用手持测试仪） 1.点火开关拧到ON，但是不起动发动机。 2.用专用维修工具将DLC3的13（TC）和4（CG）端子短接。 3.通过MIL（故障指示灯）的闪烁次数来读取显示的DTC。

  7. Remove the EFI fuse from engine room R/B No.1 for 10 seconds or more . Clear the DTC 清除DTC 拔下发动机舱1号继电器盒中的EFI熔断丝至少10秒钟 。
