What is ANIEL? • THE SPANISH ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMUNNICATION INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION: • gives large, small and medium sized businesses dedicated to electronics and telecommunication the opportunity to join and channel their forces in order to defend and promote their interests and improve their international performance; • was funded more than 25 years ago, and since then ANIEL has stimulated the generation of employment as well as the Spanish investment in the sector; • represents almost all industries and services of the Spanish electronics and telecommunication sector.

What is AproTECH? • AproTECH is the ANIEL Office that assists enterprises in participating in different European Programmes. • Working since January 2003 with great success. • Supported by the Spanish Science and Technology Ministry. • Representing a pool of high qualified SMEs and other enterprises specially in the area of Information Society Technology

  6. Which European Programmes? • VI Framework Programme. Research, Technological Development and Demonstration activities, specially these priorities. • IST. Information Society Technologies. • Aeronautics and space. • SMEs. Promotion of SMEs innovation activities. • Surface Transport. • eTEN. Information Society Systems and services development. • Eureka. Development of products, processes or services with great commercial interest and based on innovative technologies.

  7. Services • Promotion, assessment and localisation of Consortia and projects. • SMEs Attention Centre. • Creation and participation in Consortia. Proposals Preparation. • Consortia promoted directly by AproTECH. • Consortia participated by SMEs as partners or subcontractors. • Negotiation with the Consortia and European Commission. Assistance in the project management and representation of SMEs in negotiations with the Commission.

  8. Common Activities • Seminars, conferences, workshops and brainstorming sessions. • Participation in seminars proposed by the Spanish Science and Technology Ministry and the Spanish National Contact Point and in Information days organised by the European Commission. • Promotion and support of launching meeting for Consortia and proposals. • Visits to National enterprises and R&D Centres.
