3. Other English Learning Tips • Spend your time on things that interest you. If you like cooking then buy an English-language cookbook or find recipes on the net and practise following the recipes. You'll soon know if you have made a mistake! • Keep something English on you (book, newspaper or magazine, cd or cassette, set of flashcards) all day and every day, you never know when you might have 5 spare minutes.

10. 英檢席捲大學 學生也瘋狂 全國目前有設英語能力畢業門檻的學校，大多是以全民英檢（GEPT）、托福（TOEFL）、多益(TOEIC)、國際英語語文測驗(IELTS)、電腦托福（CBT）為標的，少數學校會自辦考試，部分學校各系訂有不同標準。 像成大對醫學、外文系採高門檻，全民英檢中高級初試或電腦托福213分、IELTS6級、多益750分。長庚大學對醫學系要求英語6學分平均至少80分，或是全民英檢高級；電機系是平均70分，或是全民英檢中級，醫管系平均75分，或是電腦托福197分。未通過者，必須上補救課程。除醫學、外文系，其餘各系採基本門檻標準，即全民英檢中級複試、電腦托福193分、國際英語測試5級、多益測驗700分。因高科技廠商徵才時重視英文程度，為了就業以及出國申請學校的優勢，大家都努力K英語。
