Stratigic managementfrom re-active to pro-active • Situation in The Netherlands, not different than elsewhere with this crisis: • Sudden image problem op financial/insurance industry • Changing client-attitude as consequence but also because of broader knowledge and cost transparency • Changing laws and severe supervision

  3. Stratigic managementfrom re-active to pro-active • Also stronger needs in advisory role • Looking ahead to new opportunities and markets (both national and international) • This with costs-awareness en R.O.I. => Therefore challenging times for insurance brokers

Stratigic managementfrom re-active to pro-active - Changing management to manage the threats/risk and take the opportunities: • Make sure we are able to act as advisor for our clients • Be very transparent about earnings: provision-wise or fee. • Be pro-active in the portofolio management and ‘follow your client’

Stratigic managementfrom re-active to pro-active • Operational excellence in own organization • Investing in good ICT and in specific CRM • Investing in personal to train and update specialism and attitude • Investing in contacts with schools for traineeships and improvement of education-level

Stratigic managementfrom re-active to pro-active • And as we are on international congress, last but not least: • Follow your client in foreign countries and and make sure the get the local advise and (insurance)partner =>Either through own company-network or through international co-operation/network
