  2. Introduction Picture yourself in 1773. You are living in Boston and you have been hearing rumors about a revolt against the British crown. You have a choice: revolt or stay true to your king. What will you do?

  3. Tasks • You will be expected to analyze the reasons to revolt and not to revolt. • You will use the Inspiration software to create two brainstorming webs to illustrate your reasons. • Based on your analysis you must decide if you are going to participate in the Boston Tea Party.

  4. Process • First, you are expected to research the controversy surrounding the Boston Tea Party. • You will do this by taking a trip to the library and exploring primary, secondary, and tertiary source documents • You must use at least three (3) non-web based sources, one of which can be your textbook • Recommended Resources can be found by clicking on the picturesthroughoutthiswebquest. Each picture links to a website about the Boston Tea Party • Secondly, you must organize your findings into two (2) brainstorming webs using the Inspiration software. • One web should list reasons and information to revolt, the other should list reasons against revolt • Each web should contain at least five (5) reasons • You are expected to be creative and innovative in designing your webs • Finally, you are expected to write a paragraph about your findings and list your sources • The paragraph should be a statement explaining your decision to participate or not to participate in the Boston Tea Party • The bibliography should include all the sources used in the webs. Sources should be cited correctly

  6. Conclusion After much research and thought you have made an important decision. You have decided whether or not to participate in the Boston Tea Party. If you had lived in 1773 this decision would change your life forever. If you decided to join with Sons of Liberty you probably sang the song listed to the right. If you decided to stay loyal to the king, you will be known to those around you as a Tory. Click on the word ‘Tory’ to learn more about what that means for your future.
