  2. CRUSTACEA (filum : Arthropoda) • Eksoskeleton tersegmentasi • Sebagian besar akuatik • 2 pasang antena • Bernafas dengan insang • Tubuh anterior terdapat : appendiks (embelan) berpasangan, bersegmen

  3. BRANCHIURA • FAMILIA ARGULIDAE - ukuran besar + 1 cm - tubuh pipih dorsoventral : - cephalothorax - thorax - abdomen • Cephalothorax : - antena 2 pasang - mata majemuk - maksila 2 pasang ----- sucker - stylet

  4. Thorax : 4 pasang kaki Abdomen : - pipih - terbagi / terbelah 2 - ujung runcing / tumpul INANG : • sebag. Besar ikan air tawar, payau, laut • Ikan familia Cyprinidae, lele, amfibi • 3 spesies di Asia Tengg ---- Indonesia (Kabata, 1985) A. foliaceus A. siamensis A. indicus --------- A. japonicus

  6. MORFOLOGI A. Japonicus jantan A. Japonicus betina

  7. SIKLUS HIDUP BETINA matang telur batu, tanaman air telur (2 mgg, 23ºC) larva / nimfa (mo;ting 6 X, 2-6 hr) menyerang inang kopulasi matang telur (1 bulan)

  8. DIAGNOSIS : dengan mata biasa ---- spt. Mata ular di permukaan tubuh CARA PENULARAN : langsung PATOGENESIS Menempel ----- sucker Mengisap darah (stylet) ----- antikoagulan Perdarahan Luka infeksi II Lemah ------ mati

  13. GEJALA KLINIS : ikan menggosokkan tubuh pada benda keras di sekitarnya PENCEGAHAN • Filter air • Desinfektan peralatan ( + akuarium) PENGENDALIAN • Gammexane benzene hexachloride (BHC) ---- racun pada manusia dan ikan tdk mudah terdegradasi

  14. 2. Bahan kimia lain • Pyrethrum (20 – 100 ppm / 10-20 menit) • Malathion (0,25 ppm / 6 jam) • Dipterex (100 ppm / 1 jam) • Trichlorfon (0,25 – 5 ppm dlm air tawar / bbrp jam 0,5 ppm dlm air laut / 14 – 16 jam)--- 3 mgg • Neguvon 50.000 ppm 0,25 ppm 3. Predator : Daphnia (telur) ikan
