About the Program. The CT Storm Baseball Program is a competitive travel organization for players age 12U to 18U. It is designed to afford serious athletes the opportunity to reach their potential both on and off the field. Offering one of the area's finest coaching staffs, the CT Storm teams provide players with professional coaching and training.     1. Connecticut Storm Competitive Travel Baseball Program

    3. Tryouts Tryouts for the spring/summer season typically begin in February at The Strike Zone. Fall tryouts are held some time in August at a local baseball field. Please call The Strike Zone at (860) 669-9955 to find out the specific dates and times for each age group. ALL players are required to submit a registration form, and the tryout fee before they will be allowed to participate.

    4. Game Schedule Each team’s number of games will vary. The estimated number of games for each age division is as follows: CT Storm 12U: 30-40 games (Includes league play, trip to National Tournament in Cooperstown, NY, and local tournaments. All Other Ages: 40-50 games (Includes league play, overnight trip, and local tournaments. Please Note: Teams will play in a week long overnight tournament at least once during the season.

    5. Team Workouts Team work-outs will begin immediately after the roster has been selected. Teams generally practice once a week indoors at The Strike Zone, and once outside when the weather permits. We feel the training programs and practice we provide are second to none.

    6. Player Membership All players selected for the CT Storm program will receive a membership to The Strike Zone for the duration of the summer and/or fall seasons. Membership includes free use of the facility when time is available.
