Seeing is Believing Programme • Introduction: • In 2003, to celebrate our 150th anniversary, Seeing is Believing was launched to help restore the sight of individuals around the world.By the end of 2008, it had reached over five million people in 17 countries, contributing to over two million sight restorations • In 2008, we launched SiB Phase IV - New Vision, an ambitious programme which aims to raise USD20 million by World Sight Day 2014 to fund medical, community and education projects to make a difference in the lives of 20 million people in 20 countries

  3. SiB in Taiwan—Staff Fund Raising SCB Action Blue Cycling Team Cross 1000 km, collect 1000 smiles, and raise NT 1M To Achieve SiB Phase IV target, SCB employees will donate together!

Strategy SCB staffs form the cycling team, wear “Action Blue” bike shirts—as “Bright Knight”: Start from Taipei, ride 1,000 km in 9 days, and introduce SiB to 1,000 people: “NT 1,000 save an eye, give 1,000 kids precious sight”. Our target is to raise NT 1M and help 1,000 visually impaired kids. 1. Collect 1,000 smiles 2. Cycling team will visit Taichung Municipal Hui Wen Elementary School for visual inspection 3. Action Blue Team, with their eyes covered, will visit Kaohsiung Municipal Nanzih Special School to have “ball games” with kids
