FAIR communication channels What we have: • Members of the FAIR JCT give status reports at experiment-collaboration meetings at request • At least once a year individual JFCT meetings with experiment collaborations • 3 - 4 times per year Newsletter What we need: • Forum for exchange of information between JCT and FAIR participants (two-ways), bringing up of problems and presentation of solutions New: • FAIR Monthly, 2 hours, all international participants of FAIR are invited to GSI, meeting is organized by FJCT Next Dates: always on a Tuesday, 14:00-16:00 April 24, Mai 22, June 19, July 24, August 21, September 25,

CN DE ES FI FR GB GR IN IT PL RO RU SE Status of negotiations with partner countries • Austria Signature of FAIR-MoU on February 26, 2007, Date to be fixed! • China: Prototype of CR and Super FRS dipole magnets R&D - China-GSI Positive 1st MOST-BMBF meeting on Dec. 6th, 2006 • Finland: Positive 1st meeting BMBF-Ministry on October 16, 2006, ready for next one • France: November 2006 and January 2007 BMBF-visits in Paris, • Germany:FAIR budgeted from 2007 until 2015, awaiting 25% to come from other countries • Greece: First participation in ISC meting on 26.2.2007 Date to be fixed! • India: Technical discussions in Mumbai on November 1-3, 2006, Technical and legal discussions in New Delhi, December 5-9,2006, Technical discussions in Kolkata, February 3-4, 2007 Joint declaration of Minister Sibal and Minister Schavan Delhi, February 7, 2007 India contributes at least 3% Elections! CN DE ES FI FR GB GR IN IT PL RO RU SE Status of negotiations with partner countries • Italy: R&D and prototype of curved SIS300 dipoleR&D INFN-GSI MoU signed in Dec. 06, Date to be fixed! • Poland: Visit at Ministry, September 21, 2006; FAIR+Industry meeting December 7-8, 2006,Very Positive statements from ministry, Declaration in preparation • Romania: Positive statements from Ministry, Date to be fixed! • Russia: FAIR+BMBF meeting with ROSATOM, January, 23-26, 2007, very positive atmosphere Final Act could be done by October • Spain: BMBF-Ministry Madrid, November 21, 2006, March 2, 2007, minimum or more • Sweden: Awaiting results from internal discussions, Date to be fixed! • UK: Technical discussions Daresbury October 10th, involved in various experiments (NuSTAR, PANDA), plans for active participation of accelerator experts - able to act after April 07 when new funding agency for large scale infrastructures is established, Date to be fixed!
