  3. California Parenting Institute History • Since 1978, California Parenting Institute (CPI) has been a parent education and children’s mental health agency serving families throughout Sonoma County.

  4. CPI SERVICES • All Services are available in English and Spanish

  5. Medi-Cal • CHAT (Office of Emergency Services – Victim Services) • Mental health issues may appear as excessive anger, fear, sadness or anxiety. • Children and adolescent victims of abuse, neglect, domestic violence, school violence, community violence, abduction or endangering home environments. • Intake-Coordinator/Navigator 707-284-1500 CHILDREN’S COUNSELING

PARENT SUPPORT SERVICES • Parenting Classes – On site in Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park & in the community at schools and other organizations • Parenting Apart Program – Kid’s Turn and Co-Parenting Classes • In-Home Parent Support –contracted and referred for ages parents of children aged 0-5 • In-Home support for peri-natal mood disorders • Resource Assistance – contracted services • Supervised Visitation – by referral and private pay • Guided and Facilitated Visits are available

New Directions • Non-public school serving youth ages 11-22 • Designed for youth in need of special education services with intensive education and counseling support. • Collaborative Autism Training and Support (CATS) • Partnership with CPI and Sonoma State University • Family education • Direct Care • Training service providers • Raising local awareness of autism • . • . Prevent Child Abuse-Sonoma County • CPI coordinates the local prevention council and the community effort to prevent and respond to child abuse. • April is Child Abuse Prevention Month • April 24, 2014 • Training – How to Prevent Cyber Bullying, Sexting, Social Media Abuse • Free Parenting Classes • Register on-line www.calparents.org • .
