  2. Why 10 Days of Yammer? Yammer events bring awareness and engagement to Yammer To plan a successful event, consider the following: Acknowledge your network culture and the purpose of Yammer in your company Incorporate knowledge and creativity to attract participants Our 10 Days of Yammer effectively trained, engaged, and united employees. Public groups were established, usage increased, and participation helped reinforce the significant role Yammer plays in our company.

  3. 10 Days of Yammer Days 6-10: Spirit Week Create daily online activities to increase engagement Days 1-5: Training Week & Groups Festival Offer Yammer training courses to employees - Both in-person workshops and online webinars Encourage group admins to promote their groups by participating in the Groups Festival Tip: Make the tasks simple so anyone can participate, regardless of Yammer skill level

Tip: Use these as Yammer profile pictures Day 10: Anniversary Celebration @ company headquarters Photo Booth A photographer is on site to take professional headshots for employees Yammer Information Booth Meet in-house Yammer experts and pick their brains Grab some Yammer swag Suggestion box Ice Cream Booth Five flavors of ice cream and toppings Cookies & Yammer inspired juice

Groups Festival Create a PowerPoint template that’s simple for the users to fill in Send out an All Company announcement asking for group admins to participate Remind them it’s free publicity for their group Include a submission deadline Reward admins with swag freebies Share the submitted PowerPoint slides in All Company during the group festival (days 1-5). We had 15 groups participate, so there were 3 per day

Yammer SWAG People love FREE, so the more freebies you can give out the better Here’s what we did: Groups Festival – Each admin received a bundle of swag Training courses – Participants received Yammer branded cookies, pens, post-its, and stickers Spirit Week – Participants chosen at random for a bundle of swag

  7. Yammer SWAG (Cont.) Day 10 Anniversary Celebration @ company headquarters Every person that got their photo taken received a Yammer pen Once the event card was filled out completely, employees got their choice of swag items (water bottles, stress balls, iPadcovers, etc.) We purchased swag from Yammer. Reach out to your CSM if you’re interested in doing so.

  9. 6 – 7 Weeks Finalize event activities Assemble volunteers Have a kick off meeting Using Yammer notes Assign tasks to volunteers Determine communication schedule Do you have a company mascot? If so, dress him/her up with a custom made Yammer t-shirt! Here’s Buck in a 4X!

  10. 4 – 5 Weeks Create a calendar outlining the daily activities to share on the network as a guide through the event

  11. 3 Weeks Send out an All Company announcement Write an article for your company intranet page Include a link to a Yammer note

  12. 1- 2 Weeks Post flyers around campus Think of a catch phrase to draw people into Yammer for more details Final meeting with volunteers to go over tasks for the day of the event • Tip: Use topics to tag related event information

  14. Training Week & Groups Festival Day 1 Post anniversary banner in Yammer header Days 1-5 Host Yammer training sessions Post pictures of attendees at in-person workshops on Yammer Post Groups Festival submitted PowerPoint slides each day in All Company

  15. Spirit Week Send out an announcement for each day Day 6 – Join a public group! Find a public group, join it, and reply to the announcement with the group name and why you joined Day 7 – “Like” five posts on Yammer Reply to the thread Day 8 – Upload a profile picture Day 9 – Post: Ask a question or share an idea Day 10 – Wear Yammer blue (turquoise)
