Making the Case: Employer and Employee • Match learning goals to business goals • Think about your long-term aim and how LAW Day will help you get there • Identify Training Needs - eg, customer service skills • Think about how Learning at Work Day can be used as a ‘springboard’ Learning for Fun - an enthusiasm for learning Learning for the organisation - achieving business goals

Decide on the activities • Choose a theme - linked to your business objective • Start small! • Set up a Planning Group • Consult staff on activities • Draw up a programme - relevant to time, resources, budget – make it inclusive! • Source people to lead the activities – local college, training company, sports centre, ‘in-house’ … • Who are the other partners? Next step (IAG), local businesses (incentives), supermarket (refreshments) …
