GWYNEDD AYP TEAM – Sept 2007 • AYP Coordinator - Lead on PESS Authority wide, 5x60 Line Manager, Assisting with Dragon Sport in North Gwynedd. • AYP Coordinator - Lead on Dragon Sport Authority Wide, 5x60 Line Manager, Assisting with PESS in South Gwynedd • AYP Officers (x2) - 5x60 role – 1 Secondary School, Remit for Dragon Sport in 1Catchment area • AYP Officers (x3) - 5x60 roles – 2 Secondary schools, minimal Dragon Sport remit • PESS Officer - PESS Authority wide – remit to overlook established Development Centres & coordinate links with Secondary and primary sports Associations Elwyn Jones (Sports Development Team Manager) Ieuan Jones(PE Advisor)

Mapping – Way forward? • Good way to present and see what you have done • Good planning tool – see where the ‘gaps’ in your delivery are • Map by cluster – opportunity to plan for all AYP Schemes – no duplication of work/ Bombarding schools with Officers/Correspondence • Gwynedd Sport Development Team going to go through the same process – Map all activities for young People in Gwynedd and identify weaknesses in order to create a new Young People strategy – and therefore ensure that all young people throughout Gwynedd areTARGETED.
