  1. Zlatá horečka podnítila výstavbu White Pass & Yukon Railroad (železnice). Díky odhodlání a tvrdé práci zlatokopů stála  za dva roky  úzkokolejka, která spojovala Skagway a Whitehorse v kanadském Yukonu. K výstavbě byla použita  pouze lidská síla, lopaty, krumpáče a střelný prach. V dnešních dobách historická cesta nabízí asi 3 hodinový výlet v pohodlných vagónech, který vám poskytne úžasný pohled na ledovec Gorge Glacier, rokle Dead Horse Gulch a vodopády Bridal Veil Falls. Na konci cesty uvidíte White Pass 2,885 stop (970 m) n.m., který je také státní hranice mezi Spojenými Státy a Kanadou.
