  1. HOLD Statuses Processing Activation date has been reached and the system is creating bindings. This status does not display. The processing status lasts only a short time until bindings are created or an error condition is reached. Request status will display as Inactive until state changes to Active or Pending. Inactive Hold has been successfully placed, but the activation date is still in the future. Active An item that will satisfy is owned in the System. Bindings have been created and the hold can now be trapped. Pending Request is included in the Requests to Fill, otherwise same as Active. Requests that bind to items that are In become Pending. These items must be pulled from the shelves and checked in, in order to fill the hold. Such items appear on the Requests to Fill list, which is printed from the Pending view. Shipped An item has been trapped at a branch other than the pick-up branch, and has been shipped to the requesting branch. A request that is Shipped should be bound to an item that is In-transit. Held An item that has been checked in at the pick-up branch and is available for the patron to pick up. A request status of Held should be bound to an item with a status of Held. Not Supplied The system could not successfully bind the request to available items. These requests must be canceled, reactivated, or directed to OCLC as an ILL Request. Unclaimed The patron failed to pick up a held item within a specified period of time. Unclaimed requests will be bound to Held items. Unclaimed requests must be deleted and the items checked in. Unclaimed requests may be deleted automatically through an administration setting. A standard report, the Unclaimed Holds Checklist, is available in the Report Selector. Expired The request was not satisfied within a specified period of time. The request must be deleted or renewed. Expired holds can also be converted to ILL requests. Expired requests should not be bound to Held items, but may be bound accidentally to an item with a status of In. A standard report, Expired Holds Requests, is available.
