Regulation Code: GAEAC-R Guidelines For Appropriate Employee Dress 08/01/06 Teachers, teacher assistants, and office personnel: • Business casual (minimum) • Men may wear long pants and a sport shirt or polo shirt. • Women may wear a skirt (professional length) and top, coordinated pants and top, dress (professional length), jumper (professional length) or suit. • Sleeveless blouses must be at least 2" in width, blouses must not be sheer or see through, and have no visible cleavage. • Blue jeans should only be worn on special occasions with special permission from the principals. • Only physical education teachers may wear appropriate athletic attire. Coaches who do not teach physical education may dress for their sports practice prior to practice time. Career and Technical Educators should wear appropriate professional attire for their program area. All other Duplin County Staff should dress in a professional manner in accordance with their job assignment. Administration may use discretion in allowing exceptions.
