And a quick word on the history of Proteus WEAC • Started 4 years ago as a request by ConocoPhillips. • They had realized that Excel was not a suited tool for handling WEAC data. • Low quality of data – users can enter what they want with no limitations (dropdowns) to make entries uniform (e.g Kg, kg, Kilogram, kilograms may be entered instead of one predefined choise). • The overall experience with using Excel as a «database» was: Data is entered but never used - or at least used far below its fullest potential…! • ConocoPhillips are now using Proteus WEAC for more than 10 installations, and require all of their subcontractors to enter WE related data into this system.
