  3. Before one can forgive as Christ forgave, the heart must be conditioned to do so. Christ-Like Forgiveness

Before one can forgive as Christ forgave, the heart must be conditioned to do so. • One must learn to forsake "SELF” • Pilate: (Lk. 23:1-7) • Pilate: (Lk. 23:13-25) (Mk. 15:10) “he knew that the chief priests had handed Him over because of envy.” (Mk. 15:15) “Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered Jesus, after he had scourged Him, to be crucified.” Christ-Like Forgiveness

For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. "Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. (NKJV) Christ-Like Forgiveness

(Matthew 5:44-45) "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. (NKJV) Christ-Like Forgiveness

  9. Forgiving Others is Important! (Matthew 5:23-24) "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, "leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. (NKJV) Christ-Like Forgiveness

  10. If we cannot forgive, we cannot be forgiven ourselves! (Matthew 6:12) And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. (NKJV) (Matthew 6:14-15) "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. "But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (NKJV) Christ-Like Forgiveness
