  4. How do they work in Spanish? • There are three “classes” • This and these • That and those • That way over there and those way over there • Demonstrative Adjectives modify in BOTH gender and number. • They go IN FRONT of the noun.

  5. This • Este • Masculine/Singular • Este hombre es mi amigo. • Este vasoesmío. • Esta • Feminine/Singular • Estamujer is mi madre. • Estabotella de aguaesmía.

  6. These • Estos • Masculine/plural • Estospayasos son mis amigos. • Estos chocolates son parati. • Estas • Feminine/plural • Estasmuchachas son Ana, Leticia y María. • Estasflores son parati.

  7. That • Ese • Masculine/Singular • Esemuchachoes mi hermano • Esepupitreesmío. • Esa • Feminine/Singular • Esachicatiene 22 años. • Esaoficinaesmía.
