  5. London in thepast In 1666, London was destroyed by the Great Fire… The worst fire in the city of London. The city had to be rebuilt.

Trafalgar Square Londonin thepresent • There are always a lot of people and pigeons on the square. • On New Year’s Eve people gather around a big Christmas tree from Norway. • In the middle of the square there is Admiral Nelson’s Column • To announce that London was Olympic city, a lot of TV were set in the square.

  7. BuckinghamPalace • It´s used by Queen Elizabeth II as her official residence. • It was built in 1703. • The Queen´s Gallery exhibits drawings by Leonardo da Vinci.

  8. The Queen of Great Britain • The Queen of Great Britain is Elizabeth II. Her husband is Duke of Edinburgh. • They have got 4 grown-up children: Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
