  1. Cabinet of curiosities By Melody Peggy Mafuta

  2. Social media Image found on google.

  3. Social Media • Social media is included because life would seem pointless without it. It’s a common platform where people exchange common knowledge. It brings people all over the world together allowing people to interchange from different identities to a common ground social community. • I added social media because I think that it has greatly influenced the way we see the world today. The fact that it brings people together for me is a positive thing because it allows for misplaced people to feel as if they belong.

  4. Film • Image found on google

  5. Film • The process of putting a film together from the filming all the way down to the finished product is something that is truly fascinating. That a director has so much vision especially a good one that knows what each shot is and how it would impact the viewer without the viewer even knowing that it is in fact causing an impact is amazing. • I have film here because I love films. Its interesting to see how through the development of technology that so much has changed but still manage to remain the same.

  6. The media • Image found on google

  7. The media • Radio, television, newspapers and the internet are just some of the many ways in which we receive information. It gives people a voice, allowing opinions to be given and questions to be asked and opinions to be voiced on many different topics. • I put this here because I both like and dislike the media. It brings out hidden talents in people which I think is a very good thing. It also can be very educational for children which is good because children are the future. But the negative thing is being over exposed to the media causes a lot of problems in terms of health and creates negative feelings in the mind. • What the media should really do is try and drive all its negative points away and develop the positives more because media is what makes the world go round.

  8. Stereotypes in the media • Image found on google

  9. Stereotypes in the media • The use of stereotypes in the media have the power to leave negative stigmas in the mind of the public. Through the use of gender, ethnicities and even economic stereotypes all have the capacity to build prejudice mentalities towards a certain group of people. Because of the impact of the media in society its very easy for stereotypes to exist and stay because its what viewers expect to see even though it is negative. • I put this here because I believe that even though stereotype in the media is a negative it allows people to be represented in the media and some would say its better to be represented in a bad way than in no way at all.

  10. Advertising • Image found on google

  11. Advertising in the media • Advertising has been transformed by media. The different media platforms allow for different techniques in how to persuade a consumer to buy into a product through the many different ways in which it informs and persuades the consumers. • I put this here because advertising is forever changing in the way it connects with people. The methods of advertising have advanced, creating needs for consumers where there was none before and turns luxuries into necessities with the consumer even realising.
