  4. WHAT IS PERSONALITY???? Personality is the sum total of our character, emotions, intellect, behaviour, capabilities, qualities etc. which includes conception of ourselves and also the estimate of outside people about us. In total, personality means what we are, what we think and what we do. • DEFINITION OF PERSONALITY : Cambridge International Dictionary defines personality as, “Your personality is the type of person you are, which is shown by the way you behave, feel and think.”

  7. TAKE A MOMENT TO ASK YOURSELF ! • Who are you? • How well you know yourself? • What are you good at? • What are your weaknesses and strengths? • What are you headed?

  8. WHAT IS PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT...?? • Personality - A integrated organization of behavior, attitudes, beliefs & values that are characteristic of an individual. • Development - An ongoing process

  9. CONTINUE… • People’s personality continues to develop throughout their lifetime. Specific traits change at different rates and to different degrees. • Some personality traits seem to remain constant throughout a person’s life, while others undergo dramatic changes. • Personality development is more obvious during childhood, when people are experiencing rapid physical, emotional & intellectual growth. • But it doesn’t means that it can’t grow at adulthood. All we need is to look after our thoughts, actions & behavior.

  10. TYPE It consists of two type introverts and extroverts. INTROVERTS:- The person with introvert orientation are primarily oriented to subjective world. They avoid social contacts and initiating interaction with other groups , mates, Quite, & enjoy solitude. EXTROVERTS:- They are friendly , sociable , lively, Aggressive and expressing their feelings and ideas openly.

SOME PERSONALITY TRAITS IN THE INDIAN CONTEXT • Tamasic: Living with the values which are utterly selfish, ego-centered motives, dull and meant to satisfy only personal interest. • Rajasic: Living with tendencies which are extremely passionate and ambitious, dynamic in nature but centered to fulfilling selfish desires. • Sattvic: The attitude and motives are selfless, more balanced and discrimination based on higher values.

  20. CONCLUSION • Personality is made up of the characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behavior that make a person unique. Which arises from within the individual and remains fairly consistent throughout life. • So we can say that Personality should be like which inspire the other people.
