  3. Employment opportunities with career building potential for those with CLB 4-6 are in short supply • Many immigrants are not in a position to emphasize further English acquisition, they need employment and want to develop careers IMMIGRANT REALITIES

Recruit those with culinary experience, ideally • Offer short 12 week training program • Blend in-class hours with commercial kitchen hours • Focus on Canadian basics: professionalism, safety and sanitation, kitchen operation, food preparation and cooking • Provide certification in WHMIS, Advanced Food Safety and First Aid LINE COOK FEATURES
