  2. R&D AT THE MARITIME STUDIES Conducts applied research to match with real life needs. Develops practical solutions together with the authorities and enterprises. Supports teaching and training.

  3. R&D AT THE MARITIME STUDIES Currently 14 people are directly employed in development projects (e.g. environment, safety, operational efficiency). Networked with Finnish and international research institutions and universities. Depending on the project the relative share of EU funding, Finnish public funding and private funding from companies varies.

  9. TERMINAL SIMULATOR♦ SIMOILI-project got started 31.3. 2004 ♦ Three student work stations with four screens ♦ Possibility to train terminal operations with crude oil and chemicl/product carriers♦ Will be connected to function together with the Tanker Simulator
