  5. Topic: Hajj (Pilgrimage)

  6. Some Formalities: Wearing Ihram Doing Tawaf

  7. Particular days : Month:Zilhajj Days: (8th to 12th) Certain places: Holy Kaba Arafa Field

  8. So, what is called Hajj ? :Hajj is to perform some formalitiesin the holy Ka’ba and certain other places on some particular days in order to earn the nearness and satisfactionof Allah, the most high.

  9. Hajj is obligatory for those able persons, both physical and economic who after meeting all family expenditure can bear the additional expenses up to visit the holy Ka’ba and return home. A woman performing Hajj should be accompanied by husband or someone, e.g. father, son, brother, uncle, maternal uncle etc. with whom marriage is‘Haram’ (not permitted by Islam). All expenses should be borne by the female pilgrim. • Conditions are: • Able physically and economically • woman accompanied by husband or someone, e.g. father, son, brother, uncle, maternal uncle etc.

To run (Saee) in the middle of ‘Safa’ and ‘Marwa’ hills. 6. To throw stones at Satan (Zamratul Aqaba). 7. To accomplish ‘Tawaf’ (Tawaf-e-Bida) during the departure of the pilgrimscoming from outside Mecca. It is also called ‘TawafulBida’ (Bidaee Tawaf) 8. To have a head-shave or hair-cut.
