  1. Where Does Asbestos Hide In Homes? (And What To Do If You Find It) Asbestos is a very dangerous material that could be found anywhere around the house. The fact that it is colorless and is very difficult to spot makes it even more dangerous. If it remains untouched it won’t possess any kind of danger but if disturbed unknowingly it can cause some serious harm. If someone ends up inhaling the asbestos in large quantity it can be lethal and pose an immediate risk to the health. If exposed in little quantity the consequences of it can appear after years to when you were at the beginning exposed. We at Environmental Affairs LLC have worked on so many asbestos-containing building materials in Lake Orion, mi. the asbestos has been used for decades so one can potentially find the asbestos in too many places around the house. Let us consider the places where you can find the asbestos around the house. 1) Roofing and Siding Shingles In the 90s asbestos has been highly used for roofing and siding because of it being fire resistant and used to come at a very low cost. This is the reason that most of the homes from the 90s would have the presence of asbestos. 2) Attic and Wall Insulation Asbestos was termed to have great insulation qualities. This is the reason that asbestos was largely used in popcorn walls and other types of walls as well. Until the asbestos is behind the wall it won’t

But it is important to take note that like most of the building material, the asbestos present in the drywall won’t put any imminent danger until it remains untouched. 4) Paint Asbestos has been a great component in blocking the effect of sound and heat.
