  2. Trailer Division • Divides into 2 Divisions • Bumper Pull • Gooseneck

  3. Other Trailer Items • All trailers will be in a trailer class • Low rail trailers (car haulers) not in other trailer class • Any over wide trailer will be discounted 10 points

  4. New Division Energy-Environment and Conveniences Replaces Electrical Equipment

  5. Energy-Environment and Conveniences Classes • Hydraulic Equipment – (from Ag Mach. and Equipment Division • Electrical Tools and Equipment (old Electrical Division) • Resource Recovery (New) • Coveniences (New) ex. Patio, Garden, Horticulture)

  6. Hydraulic Equipment • Example- Log splitters, compacting, and equipment with significant hydraulic components • Does NOT include; • Hydraulic squeeze chutes • Hydraulic trim chutes • Dovetails on trailers

  7. Electrical Equipment • Electrical tools • Electrical livestock equipment • Equipment with sensors, photocells or inverters • Energy generating equipment

  8. Resource Recovery • Conservation equipment used in the recovery of waste wood, cotton burrs, cedar fiber • Waste recycling, such as metal, paper, gray water, compost, etc. • Research and demonstration will be a big part of this class • Possible sponsorship by government and recycling agencies

  9. Conveniences • Patio equipment designed and constructed for outdoor use • No BBQ pits…yet • May NOT be all wood • Must show significant skills in welding and technical skills in construction • ONLY ONE per chapter or county 4-H group • No furniture ex. Cedar chest, bars or bed frames

  10. Livestock Equipment Division • No Changes

  11. Tractor Restoration • Classes remain the same

  12. Tractor Restoration Cont. • Complexity points added for more sophisticated • Electrical systems • AC • Transmission • Hydraulics • Also allowing improvements in systems since tractor construction • Ex. R12- 134A and NOT alternators replacing generators

  13. Other Items • Livestock officials made aware of more gate passes needed for drivers bringing projects into the show • Placing 240 volt plug in the barn • Working on gift card presentations (suggestions?) • Judging for Documentation and Showmanship (combined and started earlier) • More photos for tractor restoration

  14. Other Items Cont. • Continue support of Farm Bureau sponsorship • Continue thank you letters to sponsors • Please contact Dr. Shell or myself with any suggestions. They are always welcome and appreciated.

  15. Reminders • Trucks are not allowed as a part of a display. This only happens with permission of the show superintendent.
