  2. Cantando aprendo a leer y hablar español This workshop is designed to: Support the use of music in the dual language classroom. The music presented will be taught in a user friendly method Participants will be interactive as the presenters share strategies, games and hand motions to use while teaching the songs The use of early literacy skills will be used Featured songs are traditional children’s songs as well as those written by the presenters to meet the curricular needs of the DL classroom.   10. Key Ring Words Friday: Student must be able to identify picture without looking at the words. Words mastered are placed in an envelope and new cards prepared so that 5 words are always on the key ring. Have each student find 5 pictures [or draw 5 pictures] of 5 words he/she wants to learn Punch hole in 5 index cards Place picture on front of card Write word/s on back of card Place the 5 index cards on a key ring Practice daily
