  3. Brief History • Team formed in Spring 2001 • Goal – develop vision for hydrologic services for Southern Region • Initial Draft – Late in calendar year 2001 • Final Draft – Provided to SRH in early 2002

The Plan • Improve and enhance existing products and services. • Infuse new science and new technology into hydrologic operations. • Develop new products and services based on customer feedback. • Develop a better trained and better informed workforce. • Restructure the NWS Hydrologic Services Program.

  6. Status and Plans • SR HSB is working to implement the plan • Hydrologic Advisory Council formed • Council consists of team to develop plan (Brian Peters was replaced by Howard Waldron) • Will be assisting SR HSB in setting priorities for coming year
