  1. Model Evaluation Tools • Retains all the existing capabilities of the VIEWS/TSS • Builds upon the model evaluation protocol already in use by RPOs and participating state and tribal agencies/associations • Adds new capabilities (AMET, pyPA) for in-depth analysis of model trends, including trajectory analysis and integrated reaction rates to better understand source contributions • Integrates emissions and model output data into the system for convenience in re-examining archived data

  2. New Analysis Tools • AMET • Released by EPA last year • Currently available in CMAS • Includes many options for statistical analysis and plot styles (scatter, bar, pie, box-whisker, etc.) (written in R) • Model-obs data matching routines (perl) • Ability to add formulas for derived quantities from model or obs data available in relational database (MySQL)
