  2. Pros Good estimate of diversity Looks at ALL fish species present Don’t need a lot of equipment Cons Doesn’t estimate sizes Size = Age Juvenile, Initial, Terminal Could over-sample small reefs Re-counting fish Why use REEF?

  3. Before you get in the water… • Record: • Your name • Date • Site name, Number (first or second site visited?) • Long & Lat • Reef type - Patch/Sponge
