  4. The Turkish Republic was founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1923.

  5. Most Turks are Muslims but the Turkish Republic is a secular state.

  6. Turkey has long seashores, connecting with Istanbul and the Canakkale (Dardanel) Straits. These straits are the gates allowing countries around the Black Sea to reach the Mediterranean Sea.

  7. Turkey is one of the richest countries in the world in water resources

  8. Our mountains contribute to the national economy through winter sports, mountain, climbing, camping, tourism and the forestry industry.

  9. Turkey has various climates due to its unique geographical. These four different climates increase the variety of agricultural products.

  10. Products of a tropical climate: ( tea, hazelnut, banana and citrus fruits) products of continental climate: (grain and sugar-beet root) products of a mediterranean climate: (cotton, olive, fig and various fruits) are all produced in our country. As a result, we also have many factories to process those agricultural products.

  11. The climate on Agean and Mediterranean shores of Turkey is very famous for its sea and summertime tourism. Great investments in this sector have made summer tourism one of the most important industies in the Turkish economy.
