  3. FAFSA Completion Night Hayes will be hosting a FAFSA Completion Night Monday, November 5th, 2018 5 – 7 PM Hayes Library Computer Lab Cost is Free & your FAFSA will be finished before you leave! Staffed by OSU-Marion Financial Aid Counselors

  4. Items to Bring to the FAFSA Completion Night • FSA ID – Both the student and one parent each need to create their own unique Federal Student Aid usernames and passwords at www.fsaid.ed.govat least three days prior to your appointment. • 2017 Student and Parent Federal Tax Returns • 2017 Student and Parent W2s (unless self-employed) • A listing of any other types of untaxed income or benefits received in 2017 (if any)

  5. Items to Bring to the FAFSA Completion Night Documentation from you and/or your parent's case worker with the total amount of TANF received for 2017 (if any) Supplemental Social Security Disability received in 2017 (if any) The total amount of child support paid and/or received in 2017 (if any) The total amount of Federal Work Study received in 2017 (for current college students, if any) Most recent bank and investment account statements (if any) Student and parental Social Security numbers

  6. Meet the deadlines… • Check with the college of your choice for their required deadline date • Send the info to all colleges you have applied to • Scholarships may depend on the FAFSA being filed - even if you don’t think you will qualify for aid

  7. Acceptance notification • Review materials and note deadlines • Additional scholarship deadlines • FAFSA deadline • Housing contracts • Once accepted the college must hold a spot for you until May 1 with no other requirement, payments, etc.

  8. April • Notification of Financial aid package • Compare colleges & costs • Contact the college financial aid office if you have questions or changes to your financial status • Decide what college to attend • Send acceptance materials by May 1 • Let other colleges know that you do not plan to attend
