  3. Splash Planet Splash Planet is a favourite family attraction in Hawke’s Bay. There are many things to do there including going down the water slides and playing in the castle.

  5. The Napier Earthquake The Napier earthquake happened in 1931. After the earthquake fires started all over Napier city. The fire started at 4:00pm and it only took 2 minutes for many Napier buildings to be in flames.

  6. Pania of the Reef The legend of Pania is about a seal-woman who lived on Napier’s rocky shore. She married Karitoki, and then turned herself into an reef that is off Napier’s coast. The reef would give his tribe with lots of fish.
