    5. Proclamation Responsibilities Oversee order of public worship, with Ministry Team Arrange for worship study and experimentation Oversee, baptism and communion: report to Council Arrange special services, speakers and pulpit supply Oversee the use and decoration of the Sanctuary

Proclamation Worship Celebrate and reflect on the seasons of the Christian year Provide opportunities for lay participation in worship services Ensure lay involvement in oversight and planning for worship Support continued development of the music ministry Review current worship services and opportunities in terms of: Numbers of services, focus, frequency, timing etc. Current and future worship needs of Congregation/Community

Congregational Resources Property (continued) Replace vertical blinds in social hall Install 2 brass railings on chancel steps Ken Smith, and anonymous but well known helper, to repair legs on all tables in Social Hall Repair Elevator: compressor hose/fittings etc. Will Ross recommends concrete work and replacement of thresholds at Exterior Doors leading to Yonge St. Install 8 doors on 4 shelving units in the kitchen Major repairs to the social hall ceiling Evaluate Sound system in Social Hall and repair/replace – hopefully hook up the Founders Room

Congregational Resources Finance Ensure quarterly reports are submitted from all accounts not handled directly by the office Prepare budget for AGM scheduled for March 2006 Contact Insurance Company to review policy Write policies surrounding any money received either as a donation or a bequest Write policies surrounding “Fund” accounts Educate the congregation regarding gift planning and ownership of assets at Aurora United Church Streamline and formalize the financial workings of AUC Prioritize capital projects for 2006

Congregational Resources Sanctuary Redevelopment Objective: To develop the sanctuary within a realistic budget, ensuring that the overall project reflects and reaffirms the vision of Aurora United Church – a vision that includes our church family, our church community, and our global family.

Congregational Resources Sanctuary Redevelopment Funding: examined from the perspective of practicality in the re-creation of a sanctuary which lives and breathes our spiritual journey Consulting: will intensify the two remaining architects who are helping the Committee in its further exploration of the vision of AUC Recommending: one architectural firm will be a priority, and this firm shall be deemed to be capable of transforming our vision into a tangible and exciting place of celebration Communicating: with the congregation regularly will be a further priority, and will be attained by means of Congregational meetings and other effective forms of communication to ensure openness and clarity in the ongoing process

    25. Teaching Adult Education Support Ruth in ongoing Adult education courses throughout the year. Make available training for a youth leader at 5 Oaks or other location. Make available other training where needed (eg Parish Nursing)

Teaching Childrens’ Education Support Mark & Ruth with Kool Kid Kapers Support Ruth in the various needs and costs from Sunday School Support Scouting at AUC and supply badges, scarves and awards Support Ruth and Mark in dramatic productions throughout the year. Keep the library up to date. Welcoming picnic planned for September 10th Support Ruth with “Thank You’s” to teachers and other volunteers Support mid-week groups (Dimensions) Maintain TV’s , VCR’s and other equipment for use in Sunday School Send out follow-up welcome letter to children after their Baptism. Make available Christian Books for sale in Social Hall
