  4. Group Research Project Sample Question: Lines 4 & 5: I'm tired of bein' poor and even worse I'm black. / My stomach hurts, so I'm lookin' for a purse to snatch. What themes in Black Boy do you find echoed in these lines? Why would he be looking for a purse to snatch because his stomach hurts? Is it worse to be black and poor in America than white and poor? Why or why not? Can you find any statistics to support your opinion?
