  2. Ernesto Che Guevara Mausoleum Che Guevara is known as one of the most influential people of the 20th century. This memorial is located in Santa Clara, Cuba and holds the remains of Guevara and 29 of his fellow combatants that were killed during an attempted uprising in Bolivia on October 17, 1997. Also, at this site is a museum honoring him, and an eternal flame lit by Fidel Castro.

  3. Castillo de la Punta Castillo de la Punta is a Spanish fort that was built in 1589 in old Havana, Cuba. The fort was designed to protect the entrance to the Havana Bay. It was the center of a fortress system in the Caribbean and Americas.

  4. Playa Giron Playa Giron is the site of the Bay of Pigs Invasion It is located in the Matanzas Province near the village of Buena Ventura. The Invasion was an unsuccessful action by the CIA-trained force of Cuban exiles to invade Southern Cuba and overthrow Fidel Castro.
