Introducción • En 1906 se inicio la domesticación de esta especie, hoy en día existen más de 50 especies. • Chile produce en contra estación. • Estados Unidos es el mayor país productor del mundo • En 1979 se inicio la introducción del frutal en Chile, en general las primeras plantaciones se hicieron en la IX y X regiones. • El 90% de los arándanos cultivados son altos ( highbush) y el resto corresponden a ojo de conejo (Rabitteye)
