The organization's main purpose is to foster an environment where people support and encourage each other to succeed professionally, personally, and in the community.

Conf.) Enhance 501c3 processes Expand National Mentoring Circles Enhance relationship with members of Hispanic Advisory Panel Expand High Technology Day Expand internal and external partnerships (representing HACEMOS at events) Grow ERIC referral promotion Continue and strengthen relationship with AT&T Foundation

Attend workforce diversity/JDC calls and update NEB on ongoing discussions Provide parliamentary guidance in meetings

Get at least 60% of our chapters online with a public internet site for credit card processing of membership payments and donations/sponsorships Provide the ability for chapters to accept credit card payments for local events Public Internet Site for Chapter Announcements (Starting Now) Provide an avenue for chapters to place their event flyers/announcements on the public internet New Membership Campaign (June ’08) May include a New HACEMOS Logo (Depending upon what the membership decides) Focused effort towards gaining HACEMOS members outside of familiar call center and sales environment. Includes the development of a business case seeking company funding to provide newly branded items in association with 2008 new member signups

Introduce a simpler membership database with a streamlined new member application process Requires commitment from Chapters to get the transition done – seeking at least 60% chapters implementation by June, 2008. This is estimated to enable HACEMOS to renew 90% of last year's members and add 15-20% new members for 5% - 10% member growth Membership Magazine Subscriptions Make sure all members receive subscriptions to Hispanic Business, Latina Voz, and possibly others Chapters must do their part and provide member addresses in conjunction with the new streamlined database

Encourage more chapters to create their local websites and link them to the national website National Newsletter Encourage Chapters to create regular newsletters/flyers Elections Monitor all Local and National elections

October 12-13, 2007 Atlanta Leadership Forum 14 REGIONAL PRESIDENT- EAST Rod Castillo Above the Target Mark Reunite the East region by opening all the communications channels (regular meetings, visit, newsletters) Alleviate in some way the chapter officers' work, communications and events/programs Enhance the relationship between NEB with the East region Initiate in some chapters and promote in others the existing National Mentoring program Help/Lead NJ Chapter with their first Golf tournament and share with other process/experience Increase membership by helping to reactivate New Haven chapter and adding new chapters to the region such as NY and North NJ

October 12-13, 2007 Atlanta Leadership Forum 16 REGIONAL PRESIDENT- SOUTHWEST Laura Alvarado Chapter Reactivation/Activation: El Paso: Recently dissolved, but will work to reactive Amarillo: previous officer from Lubbock is now in Amarillo and wanting to discuss activation Rio Grande Valley (RGV): Continue to work towards activating their own chapter. (Satellite possibility) Increase current membership Increase across the board definitely by covering National Membership Goals and gaining commitments from Chapter Presidents & Membership VP’s

Increase partnership with ERIC and MAP teams Maximize the opportunities to support ERIC and MAP events and encourage members to utilize the HACEMOS Event code established for tracking. Will ask for monthly feedback/updates from Chapter Presidents Provide ERIC/MAP personal contacts within the different areas Encourage and provide assistance in each chapter to begin a local Mentoring Circle or to join an existing one. Become more involved with each chapter and keep them abreast of all HACEMOS matters. –Hold conference calls, emails, news updates. Kick off at least one mentorship circle in my region Provide resources and assistance in Professional & Leadership Development Input into a Regional Newsletter composed by all 5 Regional Presidents

Partner with local leadership and management teams to recruit mobility employees, field technicians and customer service representatives. Distribute membership survey and analyze decreasing membership trends. Coordinate with local chapter boards to create action plan based on survey results. Setup quarterly membership meetings with local chapter boards. Setup quarterly membership drives at various AT&T locations. Chapter Activation/Reactivation _ Saginaw, Mi. – Pending updates _ Milwaukee, Wi.- Demonstrated interest in Chapter activation. Need to meet with interested parties to discuss possibilities.

External Efforts _ Strengthen relationship with external Hispanic organizations as a means of increasing our networking opportunities. (NSHMBA, SHPE, HACE, etc.) _ Partner with external affairs, ERG’s and the MAP team to increase HACEMOS presence at local events. Coordinate at least two mentoring circles for each chapter in the North region. Increase scholarship fundraising efforts and award three scholarships by close of fiscal year. Input into a Regional Newsletter composed by all 5 Regional Presidents

October 12-13, 2007 Atlanta Leadership Forum 20 REGIONAL PRESIDENT- WEST Daniel Martinez MEMBERSHIP Meet and exceed the West Region goal of 495 members through accountability and focus on each chapter’s membership goal Activate Inactive Chapters Oakland, SF/Bay Area, San Jose Reno Develop a strategy with EVP-Membership to recruit AT&T Mobility Store Employees (previously Cingular) – recruiting opportunities for every chapter in West Region Provide HACEMOS Benefits brochure to every chapter in the West EMPLOYEE Promote and increase the Mentor Program participation in the West by kicking off at least 3 mentorship circles Establish or continue partnership with CWA to provide AUTS workshops for Union/HACEMOS members CORPORATION Increase partnership with MAP Teams Continued participation in ERIC

October 12-13, 2007 Atlanta Leadership Forum 22 REGIONAL PRESIDENT- SOUTHEAST Isabella Cheesewright COMMUNITY Encourage the Atlanta Chapter to look for opportunities to partner with and support other ERG’s and external community organizations Encourage the Atlanta Chapter to continue volunteering in the community Develop and execute a plan of action to open more chapters and increase the visibility of HACEMOS in the following states FL, KY, AL, LA,TN, MS, SC and NC Promote HACEMOS Membership drives within all Southeast Region States. Encourage, provide resources and support all chapters’ scholarship fundraising efforts Encourage the Atlanta Chapter to continue support of Mentoring Circles and Mentoring Programs and focus on uniformity of both programs

OUTREACH Isabel Cabrera Partner with Corporate External Affairs to identify Latino national events sponsored by AT&T and obtain free registrations for HACEMOS representatives in 2008 and beyond Provide Corporate External Affairs with assessment of the value of Latino community organizations as needed Attend corporate sponsored events to enhance HACEMOS relationship with AT&T external affairs and diversity representatives Pursue partnerships with external Latino organizations to benefit our events, (e.g., High Technology Day, annual conference, etc.) Partner with external organizations to benefit our members in the areas of external jobs, professional development and sales opportunities (ERIC) Maintain professional relationship with external Latino leaders of prominent national organizations to promote the HACEMOS & AT&T names within our communities and seize opportunities Foster professional relationship with Latino affinity groups to benchmark, share best practices and seek opportunities for partnership

October 12-13, 2007 Atlanta Leadership Forum 25 EVP- HISTORIAN Olivia Urbina Work with the webmaster to build a website and links that include Chapter Rosters, Calendar of Events, Volunteer Hours, Chapter Accomplishments and Chapter Newsletters Encourage and assist VP-Historians in building and maintaining Chapter albums, awards, photographs, company publications and community involvement information Encourage VP-Historians on showcasing and recognizing chapter members by sharing with NGB all chapter "Best Practices" Support/Adopt two national Charities at the National/NGB level Promote the footprint of HACEMOS in the AT&T region Provide a Parliamentary procedure refresher with all chapters Update the member highlight for each region on a quarterly basis Work with the workforce diversity group on requested volunteer hours and accomplishments data as requested Will track potential charity candidates for CARES submission (2008)

October 12-13, 2007 Atlanta Leadership Forum 28 Professional Development Workshops Provide workshop at 2007 Fall Leadership Forum Social Styles – Bruce Brenizer, AT&T Training Instructor Provide workshops in 4Q ’07 (Dec.) and 1Q ’08 (Feb.) choosing from the following: Career Development Overview – Career Center website: (Live Meeting - 1 hr) Career Options – Self Assessments Writing Effective Accomplishment Statements for resume writing. Interviewing effectively for the next job. Networking, an ongoing process. Mentoring support in an growing industry. Interactive articles and other resources. Managing Change and Developing Resiliency (Live Meeting - 2 hours) Anticipate how individuals will respond during change. See change for what it is - a normal, natural part of life and work. Take specific steps that will make it easier to progress through the change process. Develop resilience skills in order to recover quickly from the effects of change. Managing Cross Generational Workforce (Live Meeting - 1 1/2 hours) Learn about key events that shape the workplace attitudes and values of the four working generations: Veterans, Boomers, Generation X & Generation Y. Brainstorm possible techniques for effective communication and motivation.

    29. October 12-13, 2007 Atlanta Leadership Forum 29 Stankey Org. Job Openings Background: Job openings were being provided by HR to HACEMOS. However, positions were outdated due to number of days posted in Career Path. Status: Met w/ HR Support and Staffing to determine way to identify Career Path openings for the AT&T Operations Support (AOS) organization. Job types for AOS: Information Technology, Project Management, Quality Process & Metrics, Research, Internet, Research Technical/Development, Engineering, Sales Ops., Engineering Support, Network, Network Engineering Next Step: Create process for tracking HACEMOS members going through career path process.
