  2. Supplies • Pencil • Pen (for grading) • Notebook paper • Straight edge • Graph paper • Scientific or graphing calculator (we use TI-84 in class; can't use TI-89)

  3. Cell Phones • Must be on silent mode and put away at all times in the classroom. • May only be used with teacher permission and only for educational purposes in the classroom. • May not be charged or used to print at school. • Students may not access phones while any students are testing in the room.

  4. Missed class? • Students are responsible for obtaining all missed work due to an absence. • CHECK ONLINE in Google Classroom, or pick up documents upon return to school. • Calendar of assignments is posted in Google Classroom, on my website, and on the white board in class.

  5. Absent for a Test? • Make up tests in KHS Testing Center LGI 4210 at LUNCH! Need to Retest? • See me for more info – may retest once per grading period for up to a 70

  6. Know you’re going to be absent? • Check with me ahead of time to get your papers. • Follow up with Google Classroom and textbook for notes and examples, then ask questions.

  7. NotebookAll students are required to keep an organized notebook of their work each nine weeks. This is a suggested plan for organizing it: • Warm ups - SAT, STAAR, Algebra • Syllabus / Calendar • Daily Work • Tests and Major Quizzes • Notes (may be included in Daily Work)

  8. Need Extra Help? • Mondays – Lunch B block • Thursdays – Lunch B block • Wednesdays - NHS Tutoring 6-9 pm in KHS Library

  9. Late Work • School Policy: 20% deduction per SCHOOL DAY

  10. DAILY WORK (30%)All work must be shown and done in pencil. • may take grades on daily assignments • may be completion grades if all work is shown

  11. DAILY WORK (30%) continued • may be "daily quizzes" which are not announced ahead of time – Usually notes, homework, and textbook may be used. • may be combination of completion grade and accuracy grade

  12. Online Resources/Documents • The online portion of our course can be accessed from my website using your Google login. • All updated calendars/syllabi • Class notes and examples • Worksheets • ANSWERS !!!!! Please check your answers before you come to class the next day and be ready with any questions. Hopefully you will figure out some of your errors first!

  13. TESTS (70%) • Scheduled on syllabus • Usually 100 points , but may be fewer • Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays • RETESTS: May retest ONCE per grading period, for a max of 70. The retest must be taken prior to the next scheduled test.

  14. MAKE UP TESTS • In the Testing Center • At lunch in Testing Center 4210 • Bring your lunch and arrive during the first 10 minutes of the lunch period.

  15. Emergency Procedures • Follow your teacher’s instructions • Pay attention to exit path • Find your teacher and CHECK ROLL after evacuating the building.
