  2. 1076.1 WG status update • WG elections closed on Dec. 31, 2004: • Chair: Alain Vachoux, EPFL • Vice-chair: Ernst Christen, Synopsys • Secretary: Tom Kazmierski, Univ. of Southampton • WG membership: • WG voting membership requires DASC membership (http://www.dasc.org) and registration in a WG roster • Observers may only register to the mailing list (see web site) • Updated http://www.eda.org/vhdl-ams/ web site • Old web site still available • New 1076.1 Project Authorization Request (PAR) • Required by IEEE every 5 years for reaffirmation of standards

  3. New 1076.1 PAR • Scope: • Fixing errors in the 1076.1 LRM • Synchronization of IEEE Std. 1076.1-1999 with upcoming IEEE Std. 1076 enhancements (a.k.a. VHDL-200X, http://www.eda.org/vhdl-200x/) • New PAR accepted through WG vote (closed on Jan. 7, 2005) • Next administrative steps: • Review from IEEE DASC Steering Committee on March 10 • Then send to IEEE NesCom for approval • Next technical steps: • Complete errata sheet • Editorial work on LRM document • Funding for technical editor: • Organizations (e.g. ECSI) • EDA companies (e.g. Synopsys)
