  1. DAILY DILEMMA

  2. You will suggest an idea/dilemma/news story that you have heard or a dilemma that a friend is facing

  3. Confidentiality- Please don’t reveal who is facing the dilemma if it is too personal or if the person deserves confidentiality.

  4. The teacher will choose one of the topics for today and we may store some of the ideas for later.

  5. Please remember that this is YOUR CONVERSATION with your classmate; look around the room at your classmates when you make comments; try to make eye contact with them.

  6. You know a lot about life, God, religion regardless of whether you agree with what you have heard

  7. Your experiences make you a uniquely wise individual

  8. We grow as we hear our ideas challenged, reinforced, etc--

  9. Be willing to share your knowledge with your classmates

  10. Be open to hearing!

  11. We are challenging one another's ideas, NOT one another as people

  12. Your ideas should guide your classmates towards the objective moral truth and the common good for all.

  13. To allow others to respond, Please keep your comments to 20 seconds or less

  14. Please make no more than 1 comment during any daily dilemma

  15. WHO IS SPEAKING? Only the designated speaker should be sharing at any given time.

  16. The Hat The person holding the hat is the designated speaker.

  17. Next? When you are through with your comment, toss the hat to a classmate. If no one has his hand raised, toss it to someone anyway and he can comment or just repeat the dilemma if he has nothing to add.
