  3. Facts and Figures • Two categories of membership • Full and Associate • 11,000+ members (April 2002) • 5% (approx) employed in Learning Support • 450 members in Wales • Acceptance rate: approximately 90%

  4. Why I applied: • Recognition of skills and achievements • Morale boost • Add ‘sparkle’ to my CV • Improve employment prospects? • Better salary? • Enhance credibility with lecturing colleagues
