WIDA Consortium Model Performance Indicators • Provide examples (models) of assessable language skills. • Reflect the second language acquisition process. • Describe how students can use the language (purpose). • Relate to specific criteria and elements of academic language. • Provide the anchors for curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
