  2. Israel-Palestine conflict Background They kept fighting each other for the ownership of the land. Palestine took Jerusalem from the Romans Jews took Jerusalem from the Palestine. AD 77. Jews got out casted from Jerusalem by the Romans Jews got money and asked America and British to admit the ownership of their land. Palestine fought back and had a war with Jews in Palestine in Lebanon.

  3. Current situation • In 1948, they mad a negotiation and Palestine got their own autonomous district. • But in 2002, Israel invaded this region again and withdrew them later. • This happed again In 2006.

  4. Can the teenagers of Israel and Palestine recover from violence? • The teenagers have lost a lot of friends and family members. Therefore, they are eager to give revenge to the other country. • They have been bombing schools and hospitals. Therefore these teenagers are not having education and health. This won’t lead them to a good future • Therefore I think it is hard for the teenagers to recover from violence.

  5. Who’s fault is it? • Jews took Jerusalem away from Palestine and the land had been the Palestine's for almost 2000 years. • Palestine fought back and bombed a little compared to what Israel did to Palestine. • Even when Palestine got a small piece of land from Israel, Israeli bombed it again and again. • Therefore, I think Israel shouldn’t have killed Palestine and make them poor.

  6. Quotes •  “The children walking over the bricks of their destroyed homes, their mother putting up a tent, their father in jail... in tears and confusion looking at the tanks coming down the street, the men holding metre-long machine guns... they stare... need I say more ...just imagine how it would feel to be a Palestinian....” • “Since we cannot defeatIsraelin war; we do this in stages. We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow againstIsrael.” • These quotes tell that Palestine is eager to give Israel a revenge however in the strength of the armies, Palestine is weeker.

  7. So what can they do? • Palestine and Israel negotiate and share the land supplies and food. • Israel and other rich countries should help Palestine build schools and hospitals to help Palestine build up their country. • They should promises peace between the two countries.

  8. Facts in the book • In Jerusalem, so much old anger floated around. P93 • The Jews wanted control and Arabs wanted control. p29 • in the book it said that it was because of Palestinians hate Jews. • But some Palestinians want peace • ‘my father says nobody talked or thought about being Arab or Jews or anything, they just ate slept studied. • ‘Do you think the Arabs and Jews secretly love one another?’ Liana asked ‘I think,’ poppy said. • The Arabs and Jews shook hands again, at the Whitehouse, and it lots of other places too. • Jews and Palestine's separations • ‘Go to a better stores in our part of town,’ so she knew he thought she was Jewish. P 95 • This shows that the town has been split in two and they are separated physically but maybe not in their minds.

  9. Can one make a difference? • Before she meets the friend named Omer an Jewish boy • she is home sick and feels alone . • However after she meets Omer she is not home sick or only anymore. • Therefore one person can make a difference to people’s feelings. • [
