  1. Theme Verse Deut 30 15 "See, I have set before you today life & good, death & evil, 16 in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, & to keep His commandments, His statutes, & His judgments, that you may live & multiply; & the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.

  2. 1) God Chooses to Demonstrate Grace through Jesus- John 1:14-18 14 And the Word became flesh & dwelt among us, & we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace & truth…

  3. 1) God Chooses to Demonstrate Grace through Jesus- John 1:14-18 16 And of His fullness we have all received, & grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace & truth came through Jesus Christ.

  4. 1) God Chooses to Demonstrate Grace through Jesus- John 1:14-18 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

  5. God shows us what grace is through the life of Jesus. He is full of grace (lit. grace upon grace upon grace) & has given to us the fullness of His grace.

  6. Rom 5 20 The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, NIV

  7. Rom 5 21 so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. NIV

  8. II Thess 2 16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself & God our Father, who loved us & by his grace gave us eternal encouragement & good hope, 17 encourage your hearts & strengthen you in every good deed & word. NIV

  9. Do I believe in a God that is full of grace or do I believe that “God helps those who help themselves”? Am I trying to live by making my own “luck” & fortune or do I first trust God’s grace?

  10. 2) We Now Live in the Grace of God- Eph 1:5-8 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

  11. 2) We Now Live in the Grace of God- Eph 1:5-8 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

  12. 2) We Now Live in the Grace of God- Eph 1:5-8 7 … according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom & prudence

  13. By God’s grace we are accepted, adopted, redeemed & forgiven. We receive these blessings not on our merit, but because God is rich in grace & considers it a good use of His power & resources (being prudent) to give us these things. That is why His grace is Amazing!

  14. “Lord I crawled across the barrenness to you with my empty cup uncertain in asking for any small drop of refreshment. If only I had known you better I'd have come running with a bucket.” Nancy Spiegelberg

  15. His grace gives us freedom- Rom 6 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts…

  16. His grace gives us freedom- Rom 6 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

  17. His grace draws us in to pray- Heb4 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

  18. His grace draws us in to pray- Heb4 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

  19. His grace powers us to serve – II Cor 9 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. NIV

  20. Am I living (and enjoying!) God’s grace? Do I love God because He is full of grace?
